Foxglove and Maple Leaves
Summary:
June, a mother, has lost her only daughter in a horrible accident. She ventures to the scene of the accident in an attempt to face her grief, but is soon overwhelmed and filled with guilt at the loss of her daughter. She attempts to take her own life but is reminded that there are ways to recover, and heal, similarly to how the forest regrows its lost leaves in the spring. This short story is a reminder that when grief overtakes us, there is always a way to help us find our way back to feeling alive and full once again.
