The Price of Freedom
Summary:
The cold isn’t even my biggest concern right now. I’m already five minutes late to the palace. It doesn’t matter that the sun hasn’t even risen yet. It doesn’t matter that I have to walk three miles to the palace every day. All that matters to them is that I’m late, and for the third day in a row now. There’s nothing I can do, though. I’m only a maid. Forced to wear these stupid clothes, walk all the way to the stupid palace, every day of the year. Every. Single. Day.
...In the end, it was always up to fate.
One big dream. One daring plan. Two irreversable mistakes. Three girls.
