FEQ is the nickname for « Festival d’été de Québec ». It is one of the biggest festivals in Canada and it is not just one style of music. They have a large range of music and this is one of the magical things about it. If you are someone who prefers more rap music or rock, the FEQ has different nights for the different types of music. But tonight it’s pop music and I just can’t wait to see Alessia Cara and Selena Gomez on stage.

I try to get through the long lineup. I'm lucky to have my front row V.I.P. pass because if I didn't I would be in the back. The people without passes have to wait over 4 to 5 hours before the show even starts. I turn the corner and now I can finally see the crowd, OMG this is a lot of people, but if you really try to see them, they actually don’t even look like people. They look like sardines, canned sardines; a bunch of teenagers here to see their idols. I try to be as close as possible to the stage and I have the greatest view. Some people try to push and overtake my space. Then I can feel many hands pushing my back, I want to scream or push them back but it’s not the solution. I really need to keep my calm. When you are in a crazy concert crowd, you never know how it can turn out. You don’t want a riot to start!

The concert has just started. I hear the great music and voices. The crowd is applauding, cheering, hollering, with their hands in the air. Their feet are stamping and excitement is palpable with a great vibe felt through the air. Strangers are shaking hands, patting one another on the back. It’s a fun filled evening with incredible emotions. << I’m so sick of that same old love, feels like I’ve blown apart, I’M so sick of that same old love, the kind that breaks your heart >> I am singing along with Selena Gomez as loud as I can, I am feeling so alive at this moment, my heart is racing, beating harder than a drummer at a rock concert this is an incredible and magical evening! It’s completely insane when you have the chance to see the blue sky pass to a black sky full of stars. No rain or showers were expected for this open air concert, and here tonight my heart and my eyes are full of stars and joy, and there's no signs of clouds or rain in the sky.  

Eventually, the concert will end and sooner or later I will have to think about how I can get out of here. The best will be to leave a little bit before the end, slowly walk by the exit. I walk in the rhythm of the last song by Selena Gomez, I really try not to be already nostalgic, but it is hard. I wish I could stay there forever in that amazing, and crazy concert crowd and just listen to themelody. Because here I feel good, here I’m having fun and right now I’m grateful to be here and alive.
