My Bridge
People come into our lives for a reason- To teach us a lesson. And our job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what we have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in our lives. But why else do people come into our lives? Especially if they leave or we let them go? Well people come and go, and that’s just a part of life. You just have to choose which ones are worth having in your life, and which ones are not.
Then that one specific person comes into your life that changes everything. Like you just know that they are there for the stay, and that they are the one that is going to make your life a whole lot better. Nothing tells you when they are coming they just show up. And nothing tells you that they are special, you just feel it. You just know that they are going to mean everything to you. They make your whole day brighter just by their smile. They make you get knots in your stomach when they look you in the eyes. Hearing their name makes you smile without knowing it. You know you love someone when they’re the one you think about at 3:43 in the morning when you can’t sleep.
You know when you pass under a bridge when it’s raining, and there’s that calmness and everything is so peaceful, you feel safe? You are my bridge.

I wrote this about my best friend. He was always there for me; through thick and thin.
