Me and my friends were hanging in the park one hot summer day when I remembered the day I made the biggest mistake of my life.  I was so upset with myself I couldn’t even think straight.  I lost the money my mom sent with me to go to the store later that night, before I was to return home for the night.  I felt so bad, and scared, that I didn’t even want to go home.  I looked and looked all over the place and I still couldn’t find it.   I decided to make start making my way home.

When I got home, I explained to my mom what happened and she wasn’t as mad as I thought she would be.  She was more understanding than what I thought she would be.
