The Beauty of Dance

Students who study dance must spend much of their time practicing and rehearsing. In order for dancers to keep their bodies in good physical and mental condition, they must obtain good habits such as exercising, strength training and many more forms of staying in shape. They must learn about good nutrition, positive body image, and ways to prevent injuries such as good form, technique and posture. Students who study dance must be original and self-disciplined, able to succeed in their time given.

It has been brought to my attention that not many people in this world know the beauty of any form of dance. To dance is to move rhythmically to music, typically following a set sequence of steps. Dance has become such a vital role in my life.  I have been studying the art since I was three years old.  My parents first enrolled me in dance to “socialize” me with other children my age yet had no clue that they were actually involving me in what would become a life-long passion.  Although I began dance in a studio, and continue to this day, I became a member of my high school’s dance team, Tigerettes, three years ago.  I have enjoyed my career as a dancer and will continue to improve throughout my life.
