The Suprise
I was sitting in a warm, cozy car in the middle of the blackness. The car was as quiet as a pin drop. Outside in the darkness was quick and swift sounds like ¨room¨ and ¨creach¨. The roads were full of big, different colored cars. Then I started to see a sign that was filling light to all the corners. The sign had two words. The two words was the neighbor I lived in.
My dad took a sharp turn and went down the flat and smooth road. It was as smooth as a sheet of paper. Then we saw a huge bulge of light in our face. It was all the different colors of the rainbow. The entire neighborhood was quiet. Then we saw a reindeer, candy canes, Christmas trees all covered with light as we took a right turn down a hill. There was not much light on the road but there was dim, yellow candles and took another left turn. On the left of us, there was a big tree as tall as a two story house. It was filled with red light winding up it. The car started to slow down and up we went, into the dark garage that was filled with light to every single corner by the car lights. Then the car came to an immediate stop. I got out of the sparkling, gray car and into the fresh smelling air.
I started up the wooden stairs and into my house. I could hear the water boiling, the microwave beeping, the television turned on and the sink's water running down as fast as a race car. I saw a brown cardboard package and it wasn't opened. I took off my black, Nike shoes and my heavy, blue jacket and went to the package. My dad, mom and brother watched me open it. Then, I saw it! There was a mile full of bubble wrap and under the bubble wrap was in a white box. It was a drone!!!
I opened the box as fast as I possibly could and saw the snow white SYMA drone with a big, black, shiny remote with a small plastic antenna, two silver toggles and a built-in handle. The drone looked like a big curved, white X with blades on every end of the drone with blade protectors that were 3 white, plastic tubes that protected the blades from crashing into a wall or getting torn up. There was a 3 inch camera that says HD on it. The drone had bright neon green and bright neon orange lights right under the X-shaped drone. There also was a gigantic instruction booklet that I had to read. It was filled with confusing words, but there were a lot of pictures that helped me figure out how the drone works.
After reading the instructions and assemble the parts of the drone together, I turned on the remote and a white circle in the top of the the remote faded into a bright blue button instead. I pulled the toggle up slowly and off it went!!!
I pulled the toggle up so fast that the drone almost hit the roof. I got so scared that I pulled the toggle down and it went ¨KABOOM!¨. Then I walked down the fifteen, fuzzy carpeted stairs that took me to my theater/party like basement with a right turn and flew the drone there instead. The basement is a wide, open place with a HD, white projector in the middle of the basement ceiling and there is also a sound system off to the right of the projector. There is two speakers, a computer console and a volume knob on top of the sound system. In the back of the basement where you enter is two soft, black, leather couch, a dull green, outdoor porch screen and a low seated, black futon with a blue blanket over it.
I flew my drone down the stairs to the basement and it was about to collide with the wall and then I turned it right into the basement!!! I had no clue what I was doing but it was cool! I was so shocked, thrilled and proud by the amazing things I could do with my brand new drone.
After that, I read the word filling instruction booklet and I learned how to take a video. The remote toggle had to be pulled down and then back up and the drone with blink red which indicated that the drone was now recording. It started to take a video with the camera and I moved the drone back and forth down the basement and ¨Kaboom¨, it crashed onto the floor when it got to close to the ground. I realized that I curved it into the ground with the curve button!
Then I flew it up to the top of the ceiling and it went ¨Kioash, Kioash¨. I turned of the switch and it crashed on the ground with a thud. The neon orange and green lights was blinking furiously. I turned the small black switch off and then back on and it still didn't work.
I eventually figured out that the battery had died and it was time to put it away. I pulled open the camera lid and I pulled out the silver, wired battery and plugged it back into the wired charger and then kept my new drone safely on a tan colored, coffee table with a ledge on the bottom of the table and left to eat my warm and delicious dinner. It was an intense and mind-blowing experience to fly my drone for the first time!!!
