My Dream Job
One day you and your parents are sitting down at the table having a talk, and they ask you if you have any ideas what you want to go to collage for, or do for a living. You think, and off the top off your head you do not know. So you sit, wait, and think of all the great things that are out there. When I was questioned, I answered with the best job of all time of course, baseball. There are many reasons baseball is so great. One of them is it can be played all summer long. Another reason is that it does not require much to play. This job is literally doing what I love and getting paid to do it, and if you are doing what you love you never actually work a day in your life. If I got to do my dream job it would be a professional baseball player because I love baseball, the fans would be incredible, and I would be rich.
I would pick baseball for my dream job is because I love baseball like crazy. Baseball is part of America's pastime. People have been playing this sport for hundreds of years, and I would love to be able to say I took part of America's great pastime, and I did it as a professional player. Everyday people sit there and dream about the chance to become a pro. So if I was able to achieve it that would be incredible. Little kids dream of being a professional baseball player and I would be doing it. I would be a role model to the little kids, just like Joe Mauer, and Justin Morneau were for me. I've been playing baseball since I was born. Baseball has been a family sport to the Novak’s. Growing up everyone, doesn't matter if you were a boy or a girl, you either played baseball or softball. There were no ands, ifs, or buts about it. From the day I was born until today, I have been taught how to play baseball. As a kid during the summer I was always outside because we lived on a hobby farm. I remember having friends or family over and just wanting to sit inside and play PlayStation or watch TV, but mom said that we had to be outside until the sun went down, then she wouldn’t care if we wanted to come in. So while we were outside all day we mainly played baseball. Whether we got a game of wiffle ball going, and actual game on the baseball diamond, or just playing catch or working on our batting we were doing something. So I have clearly been playing baseball my whole life and it would be the perfect lifetime dream job.
If I became a professional baseball player the fans would be incredible. Everytime you go to a baseball game, you get your five sense activated. You see the large stadium and then hear large amounts of people. Then you smell all the expensive food, followed by touching of other fans. All of those were perfect examples of what you get at a professional baseball game. If I was a pro player I would be in awe, and pure and utter amazement would overtake me. Imagine how great it would feel to have everyone screaming your name. chanting, and wanting you to succeed. Then you hit the ball. It is going, going, gone: homerun! The fans would be on there feet, they would want your autograph. They would want to collect the signatures of the people that they look up too. That would be the perfect job. I can't think of many other jobs that you would get all that. Everyday that I walk out onto that field I could be making some little kid's day, or maybe even an old couples day. I have no idea exactly what this job would bring or entail, but I would love to try and find out. So those are some of the many obvious reasons why I would choose a professional baseball player if I could pick any job.
If I was a professional baseball player I would be rich. From becoming a baseball player I would be making hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars a year. I would be able to nearly buy or do anything I could have ever wanted to do. I could buy myself that dream house that I never thought I would ever get to see. I could buy that big old truck, and speedy sports car that people dream of. I could do anything I could ever want, all from the best job I could ever ask for. Along with all that power, and money comes responsibility. Everyday there would be people looking outside my house or following you around. Some may try to harm you, many others just try to get your autograph, but you always have to be on lookout or on your toes. Also with all this money, there isn't a lot of things that you could keep spending it on, so I would donate back to my original high school, and my collage, and even to many charities. I would be making a boat load of money so I would try to help out myself, others, and the community surrounding me.
So if I got to pick any job, and make it mine, I would pick baseball. I would pick baseball because I have been playing all my life, the screaming fans are incredible, and I would make huge lump sums of money. So if you enjoyed reading this maybe you could enjoy my dream job with me.
