Stranger Danger
I walked down the street with my friend, hungry and craving some nuggets. We were walking to Wendy’s going to get some fast food.
Justin looked over at a van that was out of my view. “Hey Tommy, what’s up with that guy.” He referred to the van not to far from behind us and to our left sides. I took a gander over at the crimson red van. I saw something that spooked me to this day- a man with eyes as wide as an egg with a horrid grin that still sends chills down my spine.
I thought to myself. “The way he is it’s not right, he has to be trouble looking at me that way, in a creepy van, and staying right there not parked. This man is planning something he, I’m not liking this situation one bit.” I just stared.
Justin moved quickly inside. “Let’s go!” he said cautiously.
The van neared us as I stood by the entrance. I couldn’t look away I was just too spooked from the look he made. Suddenly, I was yanked in.
“Ah!” I shrieked. It was only Justin pulling me inside. “You scared the crap out of me!” I yelled to my best friend who was next to me.
“Sorry Tommy, I just didn’t want you to be grabbed by some creepy person.” I sat there in the breezeway as the man sat in his van right outside of the Wendy’s. We were too freaked out to move but I gained up the courage.
“Let’s just eat and wait for him to go,” I suggested willing to try to forget about what just happened. My friend looks at me and nodded willing to carry on with our reason of coming to Wendy’s in the first place.
When we got up to the cash register. Justin demanded, “I’ll have a 2 chicken sandwiches.”
“I’d like a 6 piece chicken nugget meal.” I said almost mumbling as I handed her the money due to what happened not too long ago. We waited less than a minute. We then moved over to a booth- a most comfortable choice. We sat talking about what we would do when we got home.
Around 5 minutes past and we looked outside and we noticed the frightening man had left. We were finished with our food already, so we left the building and started heading for our houses which are one apart.
When we got home, we decided not to bring it up that much, and I’m glad we don’t it was pretty scary. Now I’ve realized that friends are extremely important and they help you through parts of your life that you wouldn’t make through by yourself... they may even save your life.
