Overcoming Moving
My name is Zach and this is the story on how I overcame moving. I am Thirteen years old. Two years ago Me and my two siblings had to move away from all of my friends in a completely different area. My home town was middle state. I am moving up state. My old school did not have good teachers. And my parents were just in a divorce. Because my parents divorced, we moved to my new better taught school. It doesn't feel right moving away from all of my friends, but it can be a new beginning for me.
The thing I miss about moving the most is all my friends. Some of the kids in my old school I have known for my whole life. Now I am moving from one of the nicest schools in my state. All the kids In my old school where nice. Everyone got along with everyone. Because I'm moving, that's what I'm going to miss the most about my old school.
The last day of sixth grade was sad for me and all of my friends. I gave some of my friends a last hug and left. When we got home we had to pack. We had not moved half the summer so I still had time to hang out with some of my friends. finally my mom and dad decided it was time to move. They couldn't move at the beginning of the year because my parents were living in diffrent houses. My mom was already packed but my dad wasn't so my mom moved first. My mom moved to my grandpa’s house that he still owned, to look for a house, and we went to our dads on the weekend to help pack. During this time at my moms, I meet two girls my age and hung out with them most of the summer. I had a lot of freedom and fun with them and my siblings, while my parents were gone. At the end of the summer my dad found a house near my school, and my mom moved to my grandmas because it would be closer to my new school. Because my dad moved closer, my mom had to move too
My first day of school was scary. When I rode the bus I had no Idea who any of the kids where. I didn't recognize anybody. Because I was scared, the first day of school went by really fast. All the teachers did was explain what we were going to do this school year and the rules. I think they started the day off with an assembly. After a month of school I meet a few people, but I still didn't know three fourths of the grade. Because I meet the bad kids first, I started hanging out with them. Then I started hanging out with a group of girls by the end of the year.
The beginning of summer after seventh grade I went and visited a few friends in my hometown. I spent most of my summer with someone that I never got to know very well. She was way more fun than I thought she was. We actually were in my hometown to grab a some more stuff from our old house. My mom's new house was about ten minutes away from my new school. After we grabbed our stuff from our old house, we headed up to my mom's new house to get ready for school in a month.
The first day of eighth grade wasn't that scary because I knew who to hang out with. I still didn't know most of the grade. So I ended up joining football and meeting most of the jocks. Football was fun for me I played Defensive tackle and Offensive tackle. Because I was hanging out with the bad groups, the football team didn't really know what to think of me. But I ended up being friends with half the team.
After football ended, I have now recognized all the faces of everyone in my grade. Although I still might not know some people. Next year I will be in highschool and I hope to be in honors math, so I have to work on my grades this year. If you move don't be scared just be confident about moving. And try not to make bad choices. This is where I am now
