Most people know what the tooth fairy is,but do you ever wonder why parents made up the lie of the tooth fairy? I think it was so that you forget about losing their tooth and think of getting money and be happy.

I believe that parents lie to their kids to keep them happy.

When I was in kindergarten some kid punched me in the face then my tooth fell out of my mouth and on to the hard tile floor. Everyone told me that the tooth fairy was going to come and give me money for my tooth. I didn't know what they meant by that. The whole day I was paranoid on the thought that a fairy that I thought looked like an old toothless fairy that takes teeths to put them where their teeth used to be, will find me in my sleep and then go under my pillow. My mom asked me, “how did you lose your tooth.” I said, “a boy punched me and my tooth fell out of my mouth.” my mom said, “are you okay? Next time tell your teacher.” I said, “I’m fine.” Later that day I asked my mom, “What is the tooth fairy?” she told me “the tooth fairy is a magical creature that takes shiny white teeth and gives you $10 for your teeth.” I was starting to feel a bit scared but happy that I was going to get $10. I went to sleep on my big,cozy,and warm bed. I left my shiny tooth under my soft pillow and went to sleep. The next morning was a warm and sunny day. When i checked under my pillow I saw a green $50 bill. I was so happy to get the money I couldn't wait for till my other teeth to come out and get more money. I was so happy I forgot about the pain in my face from the punch that was thrown at me.

I now want to give my kids the happiness I had believing in the tooth fairy and now I learned how happy someone can be thinking that a fun fictional character was real. This changed me by making me a happy child believing in a fictional character. I also learned that parents want to keep kids happy.

I believe that parents lie to their kids to keep them happy.

You should apply this to your future kids or grandkids to keep them happy and not think about the bad things happening in the world and just stay happy thinking about the fictional characters like santa and the tooth fairy.
