Expect the Unexpected
Whether it be bad news, good news, anything. It doesn’t have to be news… It can be an event

Jesse
In first grade, I heard the “love of my life” was moving away. I cried for three days straight.

I’m fine

Kinley Khail
That same year, I heard I was getting a little brother. I threw the biggest temper tantrum. I still do when he makes me angry.

I’m fine

Also that year, (it was a very eventful year) I fell on my head. It’s funny to think about now but I scared my mother to death.

I’m still fine
(I think?)

Aunt Ree
In the fifth grade, I lost someone. My Aunt Ree (she was technically my great aunt.) Her sister died 3 days before her. Both to lung cancer. I kept a diary on my computer.. I wrote her letters and prayed. I never got to say goodbye.

i’m still fine
maybe…

Scooby Doo
My dog got stolen in the seventh grade. I called every animal related business.. Nobody saw him. I had only had him for 6 years and he was like my best friend… I pray he’s happy in doggy heaven now. I still blame my parents 6 years later…

i’m okay

Him.
I got my first real boyfriend in the 8th grade. I was so happy! He was my first kiss, my first love.
“Together Forever!!!”
“I don’t know what I would do without you!”

he’s happy.

Curt
Junior Year. Almost there! One more year!!! DISNEYLAND!! My brother. I’m exhausted from putting my best out there and getting 6th place. We’ll beat Nelson next time! Mom picks me up in the car we’ll be driving for the next week. I start to gather my things so I can go pack for Florida…

“Curt got shot.”

It doesn’t hit me until dad’s left for the funeral and I never got to say goodbye…

im not okay anymore
but i will be.

Senior Year…
I think I’ll be just fine...

It was a project for my creative writing class and each little story was something that impacted me and still does.
