A Vacation to Remember
Friday, October 17, 2014 was bound to be an amazing day. This was the day I had been dreaming of for ages. I got on a plane at 5:00pm and flew to Orlando, Florida. It had been such a long time since I went there and I could scarcely remember what Florida was like. I was going to “the happiest place on Earth”. Disney World.
After three years of begging, my dad finally agreed that we should go to Disney World. It took forever to convince him because we had already been there a couple times and the only person in the family that was just dying to go back was me. However, I was certain that everyone would realize during the trip that it was worth it. This was going to be our last time traveling to Disney World, so I wanted to go the whole nine yards and do everything possible.
We picked some of the hotter days to visit the water parks for the first time. There are two, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, and we hadn’t been to either of them yet. Usually water parks aren’t exactly my family’s cup of tea, but since this was our last time going, we all agreed that it would be fun to try. I am definitely glad that we did, too, because the water park days were some of my favorites.
Although I couldn’t remember much of my family’s previous visits to Disney World, I did know that my favorite park was always the beautifully decorated Magic Kingdom. However, when I arrived in October, it was Epcot that blew me away. I love traveling and the whole world was right in front of me at Epcot. There were so many countries to explore, and everywhere I looked was a fantastic new view that took my breath away. The experience was incredible and I will never forget the wonderful times I had at Epcot and the other Disney parks.
It’s safe to say that time flies when you’re having fun; my vacation to Disney World ended so soon. Everyone had a wonderful time, but I was sad to leave. Disney World truly is magical. We went to the happiest place on Earth and I will never forget it.
