You Can’t Overdose on Music
Music is the sound of your thoughts.
Music lets me express myself in the deepest way possible. For hours on end I can listen to music that describes me or something I am going through. Between blasting music through the house, depending on the mood, throwing in a few dance moves, or blasting the music through headphones to drown out the world, music is all the same, it’s a passion that numerous of people share. Constantly listening to music is one of the few things that makes me truly happy.
People don’t fully understand why I am always plugged up to my phone; they wouldn't understand my reasoning. Listening to the music helps me, it seems like the artists know my emotions personally, like they wrote that song just for this moment. Songs can take me back to a specific moment in my life, the good and bad ones, or the days you just wanted to crawl under a rock, music can make your day an emotional roller coaster.
Music is like a second language; sometimes I seem to understand it more than I understand the rules of grammar or proper speech. Music is a sweet escape for when the world gets rough; it gives me guidance on something that I’m afraid to talk to others about, but more importantly, music gives me an insight on things, and it gives me a voice.
There is never enough music in the world for the problems I face, but music will be there to help me through the good and the bad times, to clear my mind of the bad thoughts and help me think clearly. Music is the sound of your thoughts, the thoughts you can’t share with anybody else but yourself.
