I was in my room listening to music but my mom's voice had caught my attention as she said, “Are you positive she's fine?? Well okay, but still she's not going to stay fine if she doesn't take her medication.”

I could hear the worry in her voice. I wondered who she was talking to and what was going on. I turned my music back on and decided I would ask her later when she was done talking on the phone. After about 15 minutes, I walk about to my mom and ask her what's up. She then told me that her mom was sick and she had really bad back pain and could barely move and on top of all, she wouldn't take her medication! I asked my mom why she wouldn't take her medication and my mom yelled “ Because shes being hard headed thats why!”

I could tell my mom was frustrated and sad because her mother lives across the world in Jordan and she didn't want anything bad to happen to her. The next day I heard my mom talking to my dad she was asking him if she could go see her mother just for a week just in case something happens she'll have at least seen her, my dad said okay. After that what my mom asked a question that surprised me and excited me at the same time she asked my dad if I could go with her! I was so excited and ran to my mom's room and started jumping up and down begging my father to say yes, after 5 minutes of begging he finally said yes. My mom also told me that we would be leaving in 2 days. It was Saturday night and I was packing I was getting ready to go to sleep because tomorrow was the day I would fly to see my family! Sunday went smooth and everything was fine the plane ride was about 14 hours long! Finally we made It there on monday and were In the car driving to my grandparents house, my mom had 3 sisters and 2 brothers and unfortunately her dad had passed. But anyways I could wait to see them. After 2 hours we had finally made It there and there were so many hugs and kisses. The week there had filed past but It was a good one my grandma was feeling much better and I was having a lot of fun with my aunts. The day before we left my mom said I would be staying an extra week but her and her brother that had came with us to jordan were leaving tomorrow because of some error with the tickets, I was scared and happy because I didn't want to go back alone but at the same time I got to stay with my family longer. My mother also mentioned that my uncle was going to take me back. The extra week that I had spent there was swell. But it was time to go back My mom had called me the day before I left and had told me I was going to be flying back alone, this scared me but I was sure I could handle it. When I had to the airport the next day I started to feel nervous. What If  couldn't do It or something had gone wrong! I walked up to get my bags checked in and then I walked to a guy who had checked my ticket and my passport. Everything seemed to go fine until his eyebrows raised and then he asked me, "Ma’am how old are you?“

I answered him with a shaky voice “I’m 14 years old.”

The words he said next almost made me cry. “ I'm sorry but you can not get on the plane unless you get an attendant with you and you're going to have to pay $100”

My heart stopped so many thoughts ran through my mind I told him I didn't have any money! and he just looked at me and told me sorry. I quickly sat down and did 100 phone calls between my parents back in America and my uncle who had dropped me off that was on the other side of the gate we were all trying to figure out what we were supposed to do because my uncle only had $50. After 20 minutes of on the verge of breaking down and crying this man walked up to me and asked me If I was okay. I told him no and explained to him what was going on. He seemed to have listened carefully and then said “ you know I have $50 and I'd be willing to loan it to you”
I immediately got up and hugged him, I then told my uncle and he talked to the man and they figured everything out I then filled some paperwork and handed it in and got and attended after 15 minutes I was on the plane and relieved. When I sat In my seat on the plane I felt so exhausted but happy that everything was finally over.
