“Life is a great adventure or nothing”, By Helen Keller. My obstacle was in 2012 at my friend’s house in the country.I fell down a gravel road next to his house. Much like Helen Keller overcame her obstacle of not being able to communicate, I too overcame my obstacle of the pain of walking on my left leg.
Helen Keller had to overcome the obstacle of not being able to communicate. When Helen was little she got sick and became blind and deaf. The Keller’s hired Annie Sullivan to teach Helen Keller. Annie was able to teach Helen trust, Obedience, and language to overcome her obstacle.
Much Like Helen Keller I also overcame an obstacle, of trying to deal with the pain of walking on my left leg. My arm from the elbow up my skin was ripped off, so was the skin on my knee. My parents helped me through the injury as I got better. I finally got better, now I could walk without feeling pain in my leg.
Although our obstacles were different, we share a few similarities First we both had to go through an obstacle that affected our everyday lives. Then it both changed our lives, it changed hers by her not being able to communicate. My obstacle changed my life by affecting the way I walked.
Helen Keller and I overcame an obstacle I learned that Helen had to work through the hardships of understanding that words have meaning. I learned from my obstacle that I should not ride down a gravel road, and I should be more careful. “Alone we can do so little, Together we can do so much.”
