The new addition to the family.

“I’m pregnant” I remember my mom saying this with complete excitement. You could tell by her smile on her face and the way she clapped her hands together. Thats when i looked at her in complete shock and so did the rest of my younger siblings. I replied “ umm mom please tell me you're lying. Please. Theres already 4 of us here. She looked back at me now with her hands crossed and one of her eyebrows up as in “ are you serious now” But that was 9 months ago not meaning that im okay with it now or completely have taken it in because i haven't yet. We were out at the mall and i was showing my mom which perfume to buy me since it was my birthday now i was turning 15. My friend cynthia was there too, we waited for my mom to buy me the perfume so i could take the bag and head to the car. Overall it was a good birthday nothing special though. We went home and i went into my overly girly room. I share a room with my younger sister she's thirteen. And whenever we paint or do anything with the room she always wants something girly, so now we have a all purple walls room with purple and black and white sheets and a pink rug and curtains. Was very girly. I layed down on my bed feeling tired. I took my shoes off and that when my mom called me over. I walked in and saw her in different pants still dressed and thats when she told me her water broke. She looked very nervous and excited all at the same time. She was running around everywhere trying to grab the baby bag and her purse and everything all at the same time. MY dad walked into the house and took her to the car. While she was hurrying out she told me to take care of my brothers and make sure to keep the house clean. Yup thats my mom even in situations like these she always needed to make sure the house stayed clean. I cleaned up and put my 2 younger brothers in bed to sleep and my sister eventually followed them. I slept in my parents bed since my dad called and said they'd stay the night over in the hospital. I sat there and thought i couldnt belive shes having my baby brother on my birthday. everyone always joked around about it happening and it did actually happen. The next day i woke up a little confused because i wasn't in my own bed and there was so much sun coming into the room. Since there was very big windows next to the bed. I remembered that i fell asleep here and i quickly got up and got dressed. My dad was waiting outside and we all got into the car to go see my mom and my new baby brother. I didn't know exactly how to feel about this but i felt excited. We got to the hospital and my dad led the way. I walked into the room and next to my mom who was looked so exhausted was this little baby boy . He has his eyes closed but he was moving . I asked my mom if i could hold him and she said yes. He was born at 3 am my dad was saying and he was 7 and 1/2 pounds. But when i looked at him and slowly wrapped his little hand over my finger. I knew that that whole “ Love at first sight “ thing really was real.
