The Journey of Life

I consider myself a very fortunate and lucky girl up to this point in my journey, I have an amazing grandmother that gives me the experience to travel the world and see amazing places that not everyone can get to see, or go to. Recently, I've gotten to encounter astonishing cultures like the ones in Africa. Even though, every year my grandmother invites us and her trips are amazing this has been the best so far. Now, I think its time for me to give something back to the world.

This trip was something that inspired me to help others and made me more passionate of how humans are born to help each and everyone in life… my trip to Africa is a trip I will never forget I remember we toured through Nairobi, Serengeti, Kenya, Mozambique and Tanzania. I had always dreamed of going to Africa to get to see all the animals the nature and to get to meet all the wonderful and beautiful people from there and now that I did I will tell you about it.

It was Monday 5:30am and today I was leaving for Africa. For the first time in my life I wanted to wake up early even though my bed felt like a bed of feathers and was so comfortable I was ready to go to Africa. The day we got to Africa I was very nervous as a bunny standing in front of its pray but at the same time I was very excited. “ Mom I cant believe that I am actually in Africa it is amazing,” I was so exited.  “I can finally get to see the amazing animals that roam in Africa”.

When we got to the airport in Kenya I started to feel a little dizzy and my stomach felt as if knots were forming, it was a horrible feeling something I never want to feel again, so I ran as fast as I could like a flash to the bathroom and entered one of the restrooms  and I could feel it coming, then it came out the smell was horrible and when I looked at it I felt like puking again, the smell was so bad that I felt it  was stock with me like a tattoo I started to feel really week but I had to go back to the line. When  I got there my mom asked “Where were you Mariana” I answered with my week scratchy voice “I went to the bathroom because I started to feel bad and I vomited”

my mom had a nervous look on her face and said that it was going to be okay, so I kept a smile on mi face because I could not miss and opportunity like the one of Africa once we got out of the airport there was this beautiful girl that had  beautiful pearled black skin  that shines with the rays of the sun
she had a logo on her shirt that said Abercrombie and Kent and she was holding a paper that had our last name on it  she welcomed us with a wide big smile and said “welcome to Africa” we smiled back and with all the excitement the feeling of my stomach had gone away then she said “okay is everyone hear or do we have to wait for someone else” my grandma answered that we where all there so the women started by telling us her name witch is Veronica in shorter terms Vero then she explained to us what we where going to do today and said that we were going to ride a minibus to the hotel the bus was really small and only my family fit on it so the trip had started we road for half an our we were passing through the city of Kenya and when we finally got to the hotel the feeling was back so I ran to the bathroom and puked again  I felt even worse will we were waiting Vero told us if we wanted to go to get breakfast  we all did so she shoed us the way to and the place were we were going to eat breakfast lunch and dinner when we started eating my sister graved this fruit that looked really weird it was a passion fruit and it was a little s0ur but was delicious when we finished we all when to our rooms sins I was feeling bad I decided to go to sleep and at 8:00 pm they woke me up I finally felt good, Vero was going to talk about safety rules in the safaris so that we did not get harmed so she told us that we could never speak out loud when we are near an animal we should always be whispering also we should never get our hands out of the vehicle also we cant take pictures with flash because that will bother the animal etc. Also she told us the list of animals that are the most dangerous we did a lot of things in Kenya like go and visit the giraffes also go to a elephant orphanage the elephants were saved from poachers and other horrible things so they raised them in that orphanage Kenya had been over were going to Nairobi when we got there we went to  this hotel were   it was beautiful there were wild monkeys everywhere and they were really fun and cool one time they entered my cousins room and it was really hard to get them out also their was an amazing view also when we were in the safaris we saw the people from some of the tribes and they were so happy they had this red kind  of dress that went down to there feet they were really bright red and as shoes they maid this sandals with car wheels and also they all had a stick on there hand so I asked my mom “can we go and visited them?” she told me we could I was so happy the next day we did the leader of the tribe was standing outside of the village and he presented himself and the other men then they showed us how they lived they lived in very small houses that were made of mud and cow poop and some sticks of wood also they were only 2 beds in each house and they had little holes to have a little light I cant believe how someone can live like that also they sometimes showered in a lake and they put there water on a hot plate so that the bacteria would go away also they should us how they did some medicines on other cool stuff then we went to this school that is outside there village were they teach the kids when we entered all of them had really big smiles and started singing a song it was beautiful they also had the village surrounded by this bushes that have thorns so that the animals and lions cant get in when we where almost finished we went to there little market and they were dressed really creative way their dresses looked as if they were maid with all the colors of the world and there dances were amazing.

It really impressed me how they lived they live in very poor ways and they still always have a smile on there face that brightens the day they also showed us how they made medicine witch personally I think that is really interesting and the way to make medicine will always impress me because I get to learn always something new that will stay stunk in my brain and skin like a tattoo  and I believe that they deserve a better life they are always positive and proud of there traditions and village they are proud of being Masai But I cant believe how they can live in those harsh ways I feel like its me need to help and they should have clean water from were to drink to they should also have the right to have medicine so I am willing to help and want to make a difference by helping people in need like this Masai.

The last day that where left of this amazing experience I had been thinking and thinking that it felt like my brain was going to explode from my thinking and it got to me I wanted to make a campaign that helped this amazing people and I also wanted to work on national geographic to travel and get to not only help south Africa but also get to help other very poor places and this trip made me what to make a change in this world and maybe not make history but at list help people and touch hearts all around the world so help me make a change and stand up and make a change.

I have learned that I am a very fortunate girl and have been really lucky to be born in my family but I think life should not only be to live and die I think everyone should make a change and d something that people will remember maybe not everyone will remember but at list some people will and that’s the point this trip has made be reflect on what an amazing life I have and I should us it wisely and I’ve decided to use it on helping people and also always being thankful to my parent and to god of cores so be the change and try something new that will help this amazing people all around the world.
