used, or new?
high school is a time that many parents will say that thier child doesnt need to be in a relationship. on some levels it is very true, worrying about a boyfriend or girlfriend can take your attention away from the more important things such as homework sports or ,as you progress through high school, what college you wish to attend and what you want to study in college. this ios a lesson that i have had the misfortune of learning the hard way. not only have i had a few relationships in high school that i thoguht were going to be the last one i ever had because i thought the other person was the one i wanted to spend forever with, i am the type of person who gives everything they possobly can give to their partner. im the type of person who when they say they care, they really really do care, they arent just saying they care. im the type of person who if you say that you feel God put me in your life and that we are meant to be together for a reason, but you havent found that reason yet and then go and end that relationship, i will be devastated. not only do i feel like you only said those things but didnt mean them i feel used, i feel like i have been walked on by a herd of elephants and that all i ever was to you was just a symbol. something for you to have around and say "oh im in a relationship" somedays i feel like the scott pilgrim from the movie scott pilgrim versous the world. instead of fighting 7 exboyfriends and girlfriends, im fighting people and friends i have known for 8-10 years of my life and who know everything asbout me yet now seem to hate the very air i breathe. soo in some aspects yes... you dont need a relationship in highschool, you dont need to worry about it. but something parents wont understand is that its more then just a relationship, its a bond. it is the fact that you know if your having a horrible day and just need some comfort then that other person will be there for you, even if its only to hold you and give you a shoulder to cry on.
