Vacatoin to the Bahamas
My favorite trip I have ever had was by far the one I took last summer. I was 12 and I had no idea what I would encounter. I just got to the airport and it was midnight but I knew it would be the middle of the day when we get there it would be the middle of the day. We finally arrived at the Bahamas! It was the most beautiful, exhilarating, and adventurous place in the world. The first day we were there we didn’t get to do that much though except go to the hotel and go to a couple aquariums in our hotel. There were so many sea creatures and it was just the ones in my hotel that wasn’t even one of the places to visit. The next day we went to the water park. There was a slide called the leap of faith, and it took a lot of faith to jump off of. It went through a tank fill with real life sharks! I was super scared the first time I went because people said that a couple years ago a shark jumped in the slide but I finally went because my brother did. It went straight down and for a little bit I was off the slide because it went straight down. I honestly thought I was going to die. I reached the end and I was so thrilled. I went on it like 10 more times and then I went on the ride that you needed a tube for. For that ride you actually go slowly in the shark tank. The first time I went a shark followed me past the whole ride and I thought it was going to try to break the glass and bite my head off. I went on that ride a couple more times and then went to another slide called the abyss. It is called that because it goes straight down like three times during the ride. I got to the front of the line, with my tube. and sat down in the ready spot. Then the green light turned on and the ride pulled me forward and I almost fell off of my tube. And like I told you, it went straight down. I tried to slow it down with my feet by putting them on the wall and then I lost my tube. TBC…
Week 2:
I went so fast it wasn’t even real! I probably hit 35 on the way down. When you get out you get in this pool that leads to a lazy river, but the only problem was that I didn’t have my tube. I was like swimming through the lazy river and it was crazy, it was like the bumpy part of the water ride at adventureland but you could see the ground. I was like swimming and a bunch of tubes were hitting my face everytime I went up for air. I finally got to this thing that was like a treadmill but it pulled you up this hill and there were people getting off because that’s where you can get off if you want, so I took someone’s tube. The lazy river there is like 5 miles long so I just rode the whole thing out. It wasn’t at all lazy, it was almost threatening. I fell out a couple more times but I held on to my tube so its all good. I finally got off when I started recognising things and I went up to the top of the slide again so I could ride another slide to the bottom. I decided it was a good idea to go on the slide that was like a mile high up. I got my tube and got to the front of the line and looked straight down. The people there told me to just go with the ride and don’t think about how tall it is. I tried to, but that was the only thing I could think about. I then went off the slide. It went like almost straight down and then it pulled me back up with those treadmill things like in the lazy river and it dropped me again at a lower height and dropped straight down. Then I did that like 2 or 3 more times then went in a tube. The tube made me go like 20 mph and I launched into the lazy river. It was so crazy and fast I couldn’t even think. Then we went back home in the coolest hotel ever! It has a huge arch that looks so legit. It has restaurants that look like aquariums. The next days I did most of the same stuff. TBC…
Week 3:
But I also did other things, like go to the beach! The sand was almost white, the sun was shining warm down on the water, there weren’t that much people there, and the day had just begun! I went straight for the water because it looked so great! Then I realized there were like 6 foot tall waves every 5 seconds. The waves were really strong and at first I thought I was going to die. Then I figured out that if you go under the water when the waves come you don’t get hit. I was just swimming around for a while with my brother tossing a foam football around and then I went back to the beach for some sandwiches. I got mine from my mom and when she handed it to me a seagull swooped down and almost took it. I then took my sandwich and ran while eating it. The seagull were chasing me and I swear there had to be at least 20 of them. I was terrified so I ate the whole thing in a couple bites then ran to the water and for some reason I thought that would make the seagull go away. They chased me into the water then I ducked my head under water and then flew away. Then me and my family went to the boardwalk. It was really close to the beach so we didn’t have to walk that far. At the boardwalk I got a shirt that said Bahamas 2010 on it and I got my last name on the back. It was really cool. Then we went back to the waterpark but before we did I played large sized chess against my brother David. He beat me but afterward I threw a huge chess piece at him, and it hit him in the head.
