Name Piece
Being the youngest in a family of 5 is far from the easiest. Four individuals watch judiciously over your life, waiting for a mistake, an imperfection. Every decision, action, and choice of words is scrutinized for errors. The stress of being the youngest child hangs over me like a dark, stormy cloud that is hesitantly waiting to unleash its fury.
Riley. Achievement. The two words work closely together. The life of my brother is full of accomplishment, dedication, and hard work, whether it is in school, at work, or on the court. In our family, Riley isn’t just another name given to another kid; it is a name that means success in every aspect of life.
McKenna. Flawless. The two words work closely together. The name of my sister is symbolic of an innocent schoolgirl who does everything right. Whether it be following our parent’s every command, getting perfect grades in school, or never breaking any rules, McKenna rarely makes a mistake.
Tanner. What will my name symbolize? What attributes will people think about when they hear my name? The stress of being the follow up of two successful siblings never fades; it is apart of my everyday life. My siblings weren’t given names that were full of impressive qualities, but throughout their life, their actions, words, and decisions molded their names into what they are today. Now, it is my turn to make a name for myself, to prove what “Tanner” is all about.
