The Sleeper
“Good morning son how are you today” - mom said as I was walking in to the room I turned and looked up at her and said I'm doing good just a little tired do we have and orange juice perhaps?” she replied with a yes so She got the jug of orange juice for me. By the time I got to the bus bus stop the orange juice was gone and It made things worse from then on I got even more tired . I felt like my eyes lids were dragging low.
when I arrived to school three of my friends were there waiting for me out front but my best friend Stevie was not there . I thought he must have been sick or just skipping. When I got to my first block class everyone was already in their seat . The classroom was a medium size room with two windows in the back and four wall around us all painted white with posters neatly organized all around the wall. Soon as I sit down and get ready for class the bell ringed for the first time that day. I was holding my head up when my hand it felt like my head weighed ten tons .
shortly thereafter I fell in a deep sleep not meaning to but I did. When I was in a deep sleep my friend Stevie came into the classroom late . He was in the office since school started. He had to talk to the secretaries at the front desk about parking passes . He was told he can drive to school his freshman year. I dont know why he was wondering about that since we were only in 5th grade.
When he arrived to class I was already asleep. The teacher asked him to wake me up . Sadly he forgot I tend to wake up swinging when someone makes a loud nose in front of me or slaps me . Needles to say he slammed his math book on my desk in front of me I lend up and swung “crack!”, the sound of my bestfriends nose breaking sounded like a twig that got snapped in half. The blood was rushing down his nose like a river. I looked around the classroom everyone was staring at me . I turn to Stevie he looked at me with anger . The teacher told me to walk him to the nurse office and the principle is aspecting me . when you walk into the main office in the school the secretary sit at a round desk to the
left and the nurse has her own little room to the right and in the middle was the principal’s office.
When I started to turn the doorknob the class clown looked at Stevie and said “hey look everyone Stevie is on his period”. I turned and looked at him with anger. The good friend I am. I told the class clown “If you Don't shut up I will break your nose and jaw for running your mouth so id advise you to shut up ,Don't say a word , look at your paper and do your work” and he tend to do so .
Shortly after that I took him to the nurse by the time I got to the principal's office my mom was already sitting there waiting for me. Mr.p “the principal” asked me to take a seat. As I sit down my mom was looking at me with total disappointment. I tried to explain myself but no one wanted to listen to me until Stevie walked in and explained what had happen no one got punished ,Stevie and I remained friends.
