Two Days Gone...
Time flies when you are having fun, or so they say. It's always those good days too that leave like a small whisper spoken in the wind. Here once, gone in seconds. Two days. Two nonconsecutive days, and yet two days in the story of my life. I remember it all. One day we were messing around being our silly selves. We were just two girls running aorund in our princess one-piece bathing suits playing in your sprinklers. Best friends forever, or so we thought. Best friends forever. That phrase, those three words, have become the biggest let down known in my life. Right after I love you. Day two, the next day, the day we were all grown up and officially in high school. Just two nervous giggly girls, best friends, ready to take on the meaning of being a high schooler. But we changed. We became distant. Now we hardly talk at all and I guess its just one of those things. Life goes on, it always done. If anything that is forever, it is change. People are growing up, changing, and becoming individuals. I guess you thought becoming an individual meant leaving me behind. Two days gone. Day one: lost to the memories of a great childhood. Day two: the sad reality of the present and the future.
