monocular abyss
As I walked out into the monocular abyss, the crisp white snow crunching beneath my feet, I stopped as further advance was futile. Now my feet have gone numb. Bright light of the sun glistening off reflections in the snow only added to this scenes brilliance. I stuck my tongue out to get a taste of what beauty I my mind could not abode from. The frost on that fell to the tip of my tongue dried out instantly, I tasted nothing but I felt as if all the purity in the world was frozen under a layer of obscenely white cold. I was unable to move my mind from this place, so, attentively I watch the white barren landscape. The chill I felt then is far gone, replaced with a numbness that entrenches my bones. My body is trapped, but my mind has been set free to roam the ice capped pasture.
