My eyes are leaking.
I don’t know why.
But they are.
“Are you sad?”
Who me? No sadness here.
Hollow as I am, I guess the tear ducts couldn’t hold it.
I didn’t yawn, but a tear is now rolling down my cheek.
“Did somebody die?”
Well, yeah. All the time. But I’ve never cried at funerals.
“Did somebody cuss you out, throw you to the floor?”
All the time. But that does nothing.
“Did someone hit you, break a bone?”
Well, yeah. Every day I came back from the hospital they put me in.
“I have one more question for you.”
Shoot.
“Did someone break your heart?”
.....
Yeah.....they did. But through all that, not one tear fell. Just today, where I’m sitting here
talking to you. I think the dam holding my tears is broken.
