Sparkle
Everyone has a sparkle. It shinees when they're happy and dances when they laugh. I have a sparkle. My sparkle is bright and shines with youthful strength. Sparkles dim over time. When a person is unhappy their sparkle will be only a burning ember. As a person gets older and their life shortens their sparkle dims. Life is the sparkle; it will fade at death. Daddy's sparkle is fading. Every time I look at him I see it shine a little less. I can see that when he smiles it doesn't shine and that when he laughs it doesn't dance. The cancer has stolen daddy's sparkle. I know that if I could, I would give him mine.
