Why is my favorite color purple? I have always loved the color purple, it reminds me of spring and flowers. Purple is a happy color that brings people joy. When I think of the color purple I think of happy memories being outside with family and friends. The color purple is a very peaceful color and when I see a purple flower, I think of how peaceful it is and calm because it is a vibrant-color and has a light shade of lavender. Everyone associates lavender as peaceful because it is a scent people use to calm themselves. Many people associate purple as peaceful because of the lavender color in it.

I also really like the color purple because it reminds me of my grandma. When I see purple I think about my grandma and mom because we all shared a love for the color purple. I would always remember my grandma would always buy me purple toys and knit me purple hats and gloves. When I see the color purple I always think about the good times I had with my grandma and all the memories we made together like going to the zoo and playing at the playground. Growing up my grandma was my role model and when I see something purple I think about her and hope she is proud of me.

So, the real reason I really love the color purple is not just because of the pretty flowers but the meaning behind the color. When I see purple I think about my grandma. It is a way to connect and remember her and all the fun times we had. The color purple has an important meaning to me and I associate seeing the color with memories of my grandma. I remember my mom saying “time to come inside and have dinner,” but all I wanted to do was stay outside and play with my grandma. It’s so much more than just a color, it’s a story of growing up making memories with my grandma and all the experiences we had together.
