Anglers Paradise

The sun starts to wake and the moon starts to sleep. While stalking through the thick grass, I saw a family of deer scurrying across the field while the sun shone through the clouds. I stop and look at my wet shoes covered in morning dew. An ensemble of birds starts to sing through the thick condensation of fog. I start to hear the whales and cries of loons far away. I grab my father's tackle box and my old reliable rod and head out to the creek.

I was in a little stream fishing the shoreline hoping to catch a nice size fish. I was trying to throw topwater lures to get some action. I launch my lure right by the lily pads waiting for the fish to ambush my lure. I was reeling it in then suddenly something bites. My rod begins to feel resistance and the battle begins. I thought it had to be a large fish because of the way it was fighting. I was so excited and nervous at the same time cause the fish could have easily snapped my line so I was taking my time to bring him into the boat. My arms start to begin to feel symptoms of fatigue and suddenly… SNAP!

The fish lives another day.
