One of my least favorite middle school experiences is when I would get bullied because I am cross eyed. It would be the reason I would not like to go to school. It would always be the same two boys making fun of me and calling me names. Their names were Miguel and Richard, the thing about these boys was one was overweight and the other one had a speech problem. Yet I never told them that or I never called them names back. The sad thing with me getting bullied is that no one stuck up for me. No one in the area around where it happened said it stop bullying her or that's not nice or how would you like it if you were in her shoes. I was the sweetest girl, I made friends so easily and it was sad the fact that even teachers would just let me get bullied. It got to the point where I told my mom and she told the principal. All the principal said was that he told the boys to stop. But they did not listen because it kept on happening to the point where I would go home and cry and be so mad because I wanted to know why they did not like me. I tried to stick up for myself and it did not work out in the end. The bullying continued into 8th grade until I told them they needed to stop and just leave me alone because I never have done anything to them. It was pretty funny because in the end I ended up being really good friends with Ricard and we even talk till this day. He apologized for bullying me and that he never intended to hurt me. Deep down inside I did not want to forgive him because he hurt me so bad to the point where I questioned why I am crossed eyed. But I forgave him because I feel that everyone deserves a second chance. Even though some people really do not deserve a second chance, him being one of them.

I wrote this piece to try to connect with others that have been bullied. I personally have dealt with bulllying elementary and middle school. But I chose to write about middle school because it just had more of an impact on my life.
