Chill Frog
My buddies and I have a lot of dumb things we find amusing. From yelling at people on the street to throwing random things at each other However, there is one thing that trumps the rest. Frogs.
During the warmer months, frogs are all over the lake county area and are quite easy to find, and sometimes we just wanna hang out with a frog. If we find one we will carry them around with us wherever we go and just have it do funny things for a few hours. There was one time that stuck out from the rest, my friend Tom and I were walking into his house late at night when we heard a movement of pebbles next to us. It was dark out and we couldn’t see what was making the noise. So, I shined my phone flashlight on the area, and when we saw what had been making the noise we both started to laugh. It was a frog and throughout our laughter, we scooped him up and brought him inside.
Now, not everyone’s first thought when they see a frog is “let's bring him inside so he can chill”, but we aren’t everyone. Once we sat down on his couch and started to play Xbox we set him down on a pillow in between us and let him watch. We named him Hank and we realized, he is good company. For the next hour and a half, Hank would sit next to us and watch us play Xbox and listen to music, we even called our buddies Tripp and Clancey so they could say hi.
Hank, however, got tired of sitting so he decided to explore. He used my leg as a bridge to the footrest so he could be closer to the speaker. I guess he really likes music. He then hopped closer to the sliding glass door and windows and gazed outside. It seemed he wanted to go back home, so we said our farewells, opened the door and set him back into the grass.
Tom and I were sad to see him go but if he's happy we are happy. We made our way back to the couches and sat down, cracked open a few drinks and snacks, turned on the Xbox and both agreed, Hank was a pretty chill frog.
