Camping trip out in the wild
My sense of smell: I used my sense of smell to be aware of my surroundings and where I am. I used the sense of smell when my dad first opened our camper. It smelled interesting, but then I got used to the scent of it. The smell is like old furniture that is rotting away. I was also able to smell the campfire smoke coming from a different campground, but I could tell that the campsite was close near us. When I woke up the next morning and I smelled my dad cooking something for breakfast. The smell of breakfast woke me up from my deep sleep. I thought it was really early in the morning, but it was like 8 or 9 am.
My sense of vision: I was seeing trees, birds, animals and at first it was overwhelming to me. But I first saw trees there and I also saw dirt and leaves. The season is starting to become fall here and it is so pretty with the way the leaves are changing. It is so magical and pretty to see the red, orange, yellow and green color of leaves. I also saw a lot of fish in the lake and they look the same to me, but there was a lot of different kinds of fish in the lake. I also The camper also looked big on the outside but once you were in it, it seemed smaller.
My sense of hearing: I used my sense of hearing to hear birds chirping to one another and it was just so calming to hear it. I also heard the rocks we went over when my parents took me biking in a buggy. When I was in the buggy I could feel the rocks as the tires went over them. The ride was bumpy due to the amount of rocks we went over, but it was also relaxing to me. I could also hear the water brush up on the rocks and dirt, it was peaceful and relaxing. It sounded to me like the ocean washing up on the shore.
My sense of touch: I used touch when I was eating my breakfast and also when I was exploring the ground. I would feel the rocks and pebbles on the ground. They were all unique in a certain way and when I felt the ground it felt wet like is rained overnight. When I looked up at the trees they were dropping little droplets of water on me. I thought it was raining outside and then my parents were like no it is coming from the trees. When I touched some of the leaves, some of the leaves felt soft and other leaves felt rough and spiky on the outside edge.
My sense of taste: I used my sense of taste when I would eat food and put other things in my mouth that were not supposed to go in my mouth like leaves and mulch and grass. I was trying to eat rocks and other things and my mom had to stop me from eating that stuff. But when my parents would feed me a type of baby food and it was okay. Not the greatest tasting food but it had a weird aftertaste to it. So I spit my food out at my mom and it got all over her and both of my parents laughed. So they tried another kind of good for me and I liked the second kind she gave me.
