It had been a very hot and humid summer morning and I had to meet my father outside early. I didn’t wake up on time. My dad barged into my room and furiously he started screaming at me to wake up.

Once I was finally up I showered. I was so tired I went in at full blast and the boiling hot water scorched my skin. During my shower I sat down and this action made me fall asleep. I awoke to my yelling from downstairs at me to hurry up. After I heard that I applied the shampoo which felt cold and nice in my hair and smelt of lavender. After the shower I dried off got dressed.

I don’t remember what exactly I was wearing but I do remember it made me feel really uncomfortable because it was way too small for me and didn’t fit. Once I was done getting dressed I moved onto brushing my teeth, applying deordorant, and doing my hair. Once I was done with all of that I bolted downstairs like a madman to get my contact case after I had left it there the previous night and bolted back up to the bathroom once I had succeeded. It took me around 12 minutes to get them in because they kept folding over in my eyes.

After all of that I walked downstairs for the most important meal of the day, breakfast. I started by pouring myself a nice refreshing glass of orange juice and popping a bagel in the toaster oven. I got the cream cheese out so it wouldn’t be freezing cold and so I could actually spread it. As I waited for the bagel to finish I poured myself a nice big bowl of fruity pebbles which I chowed down on as I ate. After I was done eating the cereal I put the bowl in the sick and washed it. Just as I finished I heard the toaster ding and I snatched the bagel right up out of it. I brought it over to my workstation and spread the cream cheese on it. The cream cheese was softer and less cold so it spread beautifally. The immense heat of the bagel caused the cream cheese to melt causing a very weird texture with the cream cheese. Just as soon as I had finished the bagel my dad popped his head in and called for me.

We walked outside together and he told me to go around the yard and pick up dog toys and other balls. I did as I was told. After 10 minutes I finished and I walked back to my father. He then introduced me to the mower. An old green John Deere rider that took aorund 20 minutes to even get started. As he was going over the basic parts he sat on the seat which was worn and torn from age and had a puddle of stagnant water collecting right in the middle. After this we went over basic saftey. He then went around cutting a quarter of the grass I saw this and replicated what he did. I did this for the entire yard and was done in around 10 minutes. After this I sighed because I had been scared about cutting the grass but not anymore after finding out about how easy it is.

The moral of the story is that sometimes in life you may be scared or doubting yourself but if you try your hardest and just finish what you have to you will succeed. Oh and also I got $20.
