The Earth's Child
Take a walk through a forest. Look at the grass. Look at the birds and all the plants that surround them. Look at the colors of the trees and how they sway in the breeze. Take a moment to listen and just be. What do you hear? What are they trying to tell you? All of this can be clear if you just take a moment to listen.
Long ago there was a rock in the sky. On this rock there was some water, some dirt, and not that much life. As time carried on so did the rock. It learned to evolve and adapt. The rock was lonely. It wanted something to care for. She wanted to have a purpose and she wanted to love. Soon after, green little friends started to pop through her crust. These green creatures began to grow and spread. She loved them so much, that she named them Grass. As her first born grew, the love in her core started to multiply. This multitude of love made the trees begin to sprout from the soil. As the trees and grass grew they saw love continue to grow as well. New creations were developing and thriving. The trees and grass encouraged the other creations. They were the foundation of all other life.
For years and millenia to come the grass and trees guided the rest of all creation. Trees see everything, they saw all. A human is small in comparison to a tree in the scheme of life. Through hardships and adversity they evolve and branch out. They can withstand storms because they know they are secure in their roots. They witness all and continue growing. The tree is our older sister, a fellow child of the earth. From her we can learn if we only take a moment to stop and listen.
