Eyes
My friends and I built trust, the game our bricks. A pass is our foundation, the set brings us together, and the perfect kill is our happiness. The communication morphed from the game to our lives, to friendships. As we thrive together as friends rather than teammates, our eyes display our differences working together.
Jane’s eyes reflect the gray ocean on a cloudy day. They face any obstacle, protecting herself and her friends, proud, brave, and confident. Karly’s eyes twinkle as turquoise as the circle in the middle of a peacock’s feather. They regard the world kindly. My eyes, my eyes blaze brightly like a bluebell under the summer sun. They giggle with the breeze and dance with the storm.
But Makayla’s eyes, Makayla’s eyes, are towering trees, filled with strength and poise. They melt into amber hued honey, swirling and welcoming me with a tight embrace. Her eyes fragrance the air like a spring morning when the sunrise reflects on clouds.
