The house that built me may or may not surprise you. I grew up in a house in Brookville with two ponds behind it, where all around is country and cows. Boating is and will always be huge in my life the feeling of air through your hair yeah it sounds cliche but I love it I feel free which shapes my love of being set free. I found my love of wolf’s in that house my grandpa showed me pictures of them and I drew all types of wolves after that and he decided to take me to see them because somewhere in town there is a place where they have rescued wolves. Every year I go and love it more each time I let my love of animals go crazy. After my great grandma died I went up to that house and laid down on the ground looking into the sky seeing butterflies everywhere one landed on a flower near me and it was a bright blue one. My great grandma loved that kind of butterfly I smiled to my self and knew my great grandma was around and made the family that I love much more important to me. The halls hold lots of blood, sweat, and lots of tears but in the end, giggles and laughter cover up almost everything bad. I found my artistic side in that house I would wait till sunset and bring out my camera and snap different angles using different filters and found that was a part of me now. Now I always wanna take pictures of sunsets all around me and frame them later on when I go up there just so my family can see what beauty is around them. “I thought if I could touch this place or feel it This brokenness inside me might start healing. Out here it's like I'm someone else, I thought that maybe I could find myself If I could just come in I swear I'll leave. Won't take nothing but a memory from the house that built me”-Miranda Lambert. When I heard those lyrics I understood them because Brookville is a place I have not been in a while and when I visit I feel calm and peaceful there. I find my self happy and refreshed not negative. My grandpa John says its as if my child like smile and laugh comes thru when I go to that house hence ‘The House That Built Me’.
