Every single day, when I see the glorious red white and blue hanging from houses, school classrooms, and business buildings, I truly realize how lucky I truly am.

I feel lucky to live in a country where I can be the truest version of myself. Lucky to be able to say the things that I want to say, and wear the things that I want to wear. Lucky to have my own religious beliefs. Lucky to be able to sleep soundly every night knowing that there are brave men and women out in the world doing everything they can to preserve my freedoms.

The American Flag is a symbol of bold, fearless determination. The determination that is stitched into every aspect of American life. The determination of the women's suffrage and civil rights movements. The determination that won countless wars. The determination that got this magnificent country on the moon. That same determination is the reason why this country is so great.

The American Flag also symbolizes the beaming courage of our brave men and women who put their life on the line each and every day to fight for our freedoms. The courage of our police officers and firefighters who will run head-on into danger; all for the sake of the safety of the American people.

The American Flag is the symbol of freedom, determination, and courage; and I couldn’t have asked for a better flag to be represented under.
