My mom, Emily, made me who I am today. I used to copy everything she did, and most of that stuck as I got older. One thing is that I used to copy the way she talks to our dog, and now we both talk in what my sister and dad call an “annoyingly high pitched” voice. My mom has influenced me more than anyone else in my life. We are both extroverts, see the good in everyone, and we are strong and stand up for ourselves.

First, my mom is the walking definition of an extrovert. She has a bunch of friends, so many that I haven’t even met all of them! She is always talking to someone, whether it be on the phone, or in-person, she never gets tired of talking to people. My mom also makes friends everywhere, whether it be at the beach, or at the grocery store. I can't count the number of times she has made friends in the most random of places. She has made friends with the cashier at the grocery store more times than I can count. One time me and my sister were stuck at the store for an extra 15 minutes because my mom was chatting with the cashier. I can't say that I am not also guilty of doing the same thing. My mom always is nice to everyone, even if she thinks their opinions are wrong. She is so friendly with everyone, she seems to think that everyone is a good person.

Next, my mom also tends to see the good in everyone. She is incredibly patient with so many people that she doesn’t even agree with. Our family has different opinions on many things, but she still tries to have progressive conversations with them no matter how irrational they get. My mom always manages to stay calm during these conversations. She is a very open mined person and listens to people’s opinions, if someone is willing to listen to her she will listen to them. She listens to what I have to say and we have many conversations that are helpful for me and for her. I admire my mom for this because, alongside this she is in no way a pushover; She is among some of the strongest people I know.

Lastly, my mom is a very strong lady. She recognizes and respects other people’s opinions while still being able to stand up for herself. She has gotten into a fair share of arguments, but she always keeps a level head, and helps present evidence to back herself up while still listening to the other side. My mom also stands up for what she believes in, and defends herself. My mom will listens to others, while she shows her evidence to back herself up. She has won many arguments like this. My mom is such a strong person.

In the end, my mom is very much so an extrovert. She sees good in everyone, and is a strong and independent woman. She has influenced me in many ways and I hope to grow and be like her, and follow in her footsteps as I get older. I am already very similar to my mother. Without my mom, I would not be the person I am today. At the end of the day, my mom is one of the biggest parts of my life. I hope to continue being a mini her as I get older.
