Yummy, Yummy, I've Got Everything In My Tummy!
An hour before sunset, I got home from a horrible football match and I just wanted to shower, eat dinner and go to bed. I entered the house and instantly I smelled something delicious. Not sure what the smell was so I went to the dining area and saw my brother and mom arranging the table with plates and napkins. I thought my cousins were going to come, Or neighbors? I asked my mom if someone’s coming home? She replied, “yes your cousins are coming for dinner”. “What’s for dinner?” Mom said, “Chicken Biryani, and salad. I’m going to order some steak and dessert too.” My mouth instantly watered. I went upstairs to freshen up and then came down to help them with dinner. I was eagerly waiting for cousins and they came after some time. We all had an awesome time. The food was delicious. We forget to keep dessert on the table. My cousins were playing carrom board and chess. I surprised them with some dessert. We had my favorite chocolate mousse, which was really awesome. While having dessert we spoke about my new school and studies. I told them about my school’s cafeteria, which is really awesome. Looking back, the company mingled with my mom’s awesome cooking, made for a really fun night.
At the beginning of my essay, I begin with a bitter tone by using the word such as “horrible.” I then shifted to a sentimental tone by using words and phrases such as “mouth watered instantly” and “mingled”.
