Facing Death MAG
Ever thought of killing yourself? Well, I have. Every time I was unable to complete a task successfully or dissatisfied with my life (receiving a poor report card, failing the road test, arguing with my parents), I found myself in that situation. I felt trapped in a dungeon and struggling to escape. It was as if the only way out was to die. Once I even put a knife on my wrist while peeling an apple. But I never had the guts to do it. It's not that I'm afraid to die. It's just not worth dying over such simple problems in life.
The word "PERFECT" suddenly pops into my mind. I've finally made up my mind to believe that no one is perfect and there is no such thing as a perfect life. If there was, then we wouldn't have anything to look forward to in life: studying hard to earn good grades or working hard to earn money for a trip to Disney World.
Then I begin to question what the meaning of life is. Having fun? Becoming rich and famous? The answer is unpredictable. It could be finding happiness by helping others, becoming successful, or just simply searching for the meaning of life.
Life is very confusing, yet I have learned to accept it the way it is. There is no way I can change history; therefore, rather than living in the past, I am going to face reality and see each day as a new beginning. c
