A Helping Hand
It's okay to need someone else's help. It's okay to ask for a little assistance. And it's okay to rely on others every once in a blue moon. We all need a helping hand from time to time in order to get through the challenges of everyday living; we all need the assurance that someone is there for us and that they care about our well-being.
The problem comes when we solely rely upon this aid of others. We can't survive the events thrown at us unless someone does the dirty work for us. This is unacceptable because as people we need to learn to love ourselves and trust that we can do things in solitaire. If one of us refuses to follow this golden rule, he or she is not living life to the fullest, but rather just surviving. This will result in them never learning from the mistakes they are prone to make. Thus, forcing them to fail at growing and becoming a better, well-rounded human-being.
