Miracles
I never really believed that miracles happened these days. Sure, they happened in olden times, but that was a long time ago. That was until my best friend that I've known for my entire life fell ill. And.. that's a simple way of saying it. She fell extremely ill. She became so bad that she was hospitalized, and in extreme pain. I was heart broken. I felt so helpless as the doctors had no idea why this was happening to her and not an 80 year old man with a heart disease. It made no sense. Here she was, an active, healthy, relatively thin 17 year old girl in a hospital bed with a leg twice the size of her own. I felt that I should be the one in that bed. I dont eat healthy at all, I'm really fat, and I dont bother to excercise. It tore me apart for the next few days. All I could do was pray that somehow, some way God would save her. I wasn't ready to loose my best friend. One day, I went to visit her at the hospital, and my mother told me that she had stood up (even though she didn't really want to) and told the doctors that they should do a cat scan instead of a colonoscopy. What they found on the cat scan, saved her life. The blood clots were an inch away from her lungs, and ending her life. All I can say, is that I believe in miracles. And I don't know what I would have done without one.
