Missing Innocence
The shape of the past fits inside the small closet under the stairs, full of childhood memories. Trapped in photographs the memories stay. An innocence that can never be retrieved. Packed away in the corner lie the boxes of baby clothes and dolls. I stare back at them in hopes that it will freeze time and things won’t have to change, a reality that is hard to grasp.
