Pancakes
I bent over to open the cupboard,
there I found a bowl.
I poured everything I needed into the bowl,
the mix, the water, the vanilla, and the cinnamon.
The mix was a great light brown, no clumps.
The griddle was set.
On went the smooth silky batter.
I waited and waited, watching as if nothing was changing.
I tried scooping the still raw batter at the same time as normal.
I was perplexed.
I wondered what was taking so long?
I continued to wait and wait.
Time ticking slowly, and cooking went slower.
I began to wonder.
Did I set the griddle right?
I had the temperature too low.
I turned it up,
The batter started to transform
When flipped over,
mutated monsters.
