My names are William, Will, Bill, and Willie. I like to be called Will though. It's simple, short, and easy to remember. Most people call me Will, like my friends and teachers, but I also go by many other names. It depends on the person really, because even though Will is my favorite, I don't mind being called something else. 

My grandpa calls me Bill. Sometimes he calls me Billy also. I think it's because he likes to be old-fashioned. It’s not a very popular name today, but I think when he was a little younger it was. He also calls my dad Bill. Maybe it reminds him of memories or feelings long ago when he was young. One aspect I like about this is it makes me feel important, as if I am carrying the name down and I am responsible for it. Nobody besides my grandpa calls me Bill and if it wasn't my grandpa, I would probably ask them to call me Will. 

My dad calls me Willie. So does my mom's side of the family, like my aunts and cousins. It's not my favorite, but they've been calling me it since before I can remember so it feels normal. I think my dad misses me being a little kid, so calling me Willie makes it feel like I still am. I’m not a fan of this name coming from other people because I view it as sort of childish and I don't think it fits right with me. I feel like Willie is a name for a dog or a baby. 

My friends call me Will. This is my favorite of all of my names. I think that it can have power behind it but also be simple and easy at the same time. I also like to write the letter W, I think it looks nice. 

Sometimes I am called William. Mostly by my mom when she's angry at me. Sometimes people call me William in a teasing manner or because they think it's funny. I think it's funny too. 

I know some people with their entire first name just being “Will,” and I don't like that. I feel like nicknames being a full name is weird and it doesn't have any significance or meaning. Even though I don't prefer William, I wouldn't want to change it to anything else. Even though Will is a common name, I still find it unique to me.
