Imitation of Amy Tan's Mother Tongue Piece
I am not my anxiety that is filled with overwhelming thoughts and torn up nails. I cannot give you much more than my worrisome thoughts on the topics I overthink about in my head alone at night.
I am a human. And by that definition, I am someone who feels emotions to the fullest. I am happy by day and sad at night. I spend a great deal of my time thinking about the things I did wrong over the course of a day-- the way it can disrupt my thoughts, damage my outlook on life, and disguise who I really am. Being a human is to feel emotions of excitement. And I use them all-- all the emotiony feelings and thoughts I grew up with.
