The Best Night Ever
It was July fourth, me and my family were having a small get together with some friends and family. My moms best friend was coming over because we were going to see a firework show at the local golf course. I was really looking forward to this because she was bringing her son Sam. We had always been ‘acquaintances’ but never really good friends and I was hoping to get to know him better.
When they arrived at our house, we say hi and I gave him a tour of my house. We went to the kitchen to get some food before we left. It was a very warm night so we were all on the deck talking and eating. Then we all piled into two cars and went to the course. They were having everyone sit on the 18th hole fairway. There was green grass and a lake in front of us. It was packed! Everyone packed together and having a good time. We were able to find a spot to squeeze our blankets and stuff in. While our parents were laying out the blankets we were running out on the coarse. We threw around a football and took some pictures of the pond because the sunset was reflecting off the lake.
Then after about an hour of just running around, we were called back to the blankets because the fireworks were starting. They were so cool! They somehow made ones that were in the shape of U S A. They also had heart shaped ones and the cool weeping willow ones. They would go really high then fall slowly. But then as quick as they started, they were over.
But me and sam were having too much fun to leave eachother so we went to our parents and said “Could we please have a sleepover?” Both our parents said yes. It was just so fun to have someone as weird as you to hang out with. We stayed up all night playing minecraft. Or at least till his mom said we couldn't. We talked about school and what we were looking forward to in middle school. We played a lot of other games as well. He had this really cool car game that we would do cool crashes in, and we just got to know each other. The next day we went to the pool and hung out with our other friends.
