I have already gotten a good start on my college dreams. I have a pretty good idea of schools that I could go to that would best fit my needs. I know it is hard to plan everything out, because I am only a sophomore but I want to be prepared. So many things have been changing this year and even with all the changes, I still want this occupation. I think that the hardest part about deciding which college I will end up going to, is which ones I get accepted to. Duke University is my dream college, I love everything about it except the price. They have a beautiful campus in Durham, North Carolina, and are ranked very high in medicine. Their only problem with Duke is how low their acceptance rate is. Out of all of the students that apply to go to school there, only 9% of them actually get accepted. I know that if I really put my mind to it I would be able to get accepted, but do I really want to? I would have to drive 18 hours with all of my stuff just to move in, what about trips home? I would miss my family and friends so much, so I don’t know if that would be the perfect fit for me.

This piece is an excerpt of a longer nonfiction story that I've written. It explains how I am started my college journey without actually going to college yet. I think this is something that a lot of people need to get a head start one, so I wanted to share with you how I did it.
