I got the opportunity to visit the Lyndon B. Johnson museum in Austin Texas. The Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum, also known as the LBJ Presidential Library, is the presidential library and museum of Lyndon Baines Johnson, the 36th President of the United States. The museum is situated on a 30-acre site on The University of Texas campus in Austin, Texas. The LBJ Presidential Library houses 45 million pages of historical documents, 650,000 photos and 5,000 hours of recordings from President Johnson's political career, including about 643 hours of his recorded telephone conversations. This museum is 10 floors full of artifacts and fascinating exhibits of LBJ’s life and experiences. I got to learn a lot about the life of our 36th president including the highlights and low points of our country. The museum was very interesting and kept me intrigued throughout every step. Walking through and exploring the life and the Museum of Lyndon B. Johnson was an experience that I highly enjoyed. The presidency of Johnson was unlike many other presidents, and he made American History. Inside the Museum there were many films about Johnson's childhood, presidency, and the legacy he left of the country. I also had the opportunity to walk through a replica of the Oval Office. During this visit to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum I learned a lot about not only the presidency of Johnson, but also him as a person.
