Background Doesn't Matter
Once she lived a life of slave, kidnapped by her own family and was sold into slavery. This is the incredible story of Phillis Wheatley.
She was born in Africa, one of the Fula tribe Africans. She was one of the captured Africans who were bought to America.
She was sold to Wheatley's family. The owner gave her the needs and also named her as Phillis.Soon she learnt English and started writing Poems. And became famous for poetry in her town. And then she bought herself the fame and recognition which we all crave for.And soon became one of the best sellers.
Not knowing her real name she became one of the bestseller. And if this can happen with a slave who didn't knew English, anything can happen.
