In “Summer Bummer” by Ashley G, I don’t agree with what she is saying. I play travel baseball and basketball in the summer. So that eliminates my weekends along with traveling on Fridays and Mondays. However, when I had the time I mowed lawns an umped Little League Baseball. I think it is a god idea to earn extra money by working. Plus, once you start working a real job you will have experience of working for a boss.

When the author says her grade point average will slip because she is working I think that is obscure. I don’t think you should work during the school year. She also states parents should “trust teens will get motivated” however most kids aren’t even motivated enough to try hard at school so how can she think they will suddenly be.

One thing I agree with her about though is younger kids should enjoy there freedom while they can. I don’t think that kids under 11 should work. They should enjoy there childhood.
